It's A Chanel World After All

Last chance, Ladies! The prices on the Chanel Classic Handbag Collection will rise tomorrow, with the Classic Chanel 2.55 jumping from $2,650 to $2,995! Other classics also average a $200-$300 increase. The average wait list (yes, wait list!) for the bags are anywhere from 30 people at the Chanel boutiques to 100+ at Neiman Marcus' and Saks. Who says the rich don't buy anymore? With a jump dangling over their heads, women are scurrying to pick up the classics. If you havn't gotten one yet, slip in the Louboutins and run for them!
I went to my local Chanel showroom yesterday, apparently thinking I was the only one who knew about the jump. Surprise! The sales lady didn't even have a sample to show me - SOLD OUT! I ended up perusing some bags that had already been sold but no worries - I'm on the wait list! I'm getting the bag pictured above: black, Medium sized, caviar, and with the gold chain.
I've compiled some looks inspiration:

The Chicest Kid in Paris

With a blue Chanel 2.55 hanging off her (which most adults can't afford), this tot proves she is the chicest girl is Paris. The whole outfit is gorgeous and she is precious.

Burberry's Art Of The Trench

Burberry's new site, ArtOfTheTrench, offers pictures of people wearing the brand's iconic trench coat. Here are some of my favorites:

Chic Clogs?

What is pictured above is a clog. On a Chanel runway? I don't know about you but no matter how much I love Chanel, when it comes down to it, this is an ugly shoe. Nevertheless, the "Couture Clog" is supposedly one of the hottest trends for 2010, popularized on the runways of Karl Lagerfeld, Celine and Louis Vuitton. I'm not buying it, will you?

Alexa Chung for Madewell

British-Import Alexa Chung is designing a line for Madewell, debuting this September. "I want to bring back forties tea dress, sixties mod dresses," Chung said. "I want to bring cute back."

Balmain "Quietly Testing" Lower-Priced Line

Balmain's not exactly known for its wallet-friendly prices, that's why execs are testing Blue Label, a clothing collection for Fall '10 priced 40-50% less than the runway brand. Great. Now you can get that shredded t-shirt for $812 instead of $1,624.
